The Reported Alligator.
Auckland, October 26. It is reported from the Waikato that undoubted traces of a saurian monster have been found at the slaughter yards neat brankton Junction. Yesterday morning the carcase of a sheep was found to have been taken from a book and devoured, the bones which were clean picked, being found near the place with tracks of feet unlike those ol any known animal. Men are on the watch with gnus and revolvers.
