Meeting of Creditors.

A meeting of creditors in the estate of Mr Joseph lugley was held at Mastertou yesterday. The Star says the statements tileil shewed liabilities L 3535 3s 81, of which LCOO belonged to seemed creditors ; assets, L 2093 18s ; deficiency, L 1437 18s. The principal creditors are; W T L Travers, H2662 15s 5d ; F MOllivier, L 391 17s 61 ; \V Francis, Ll5O. The creditors consisted chiefly of solicitors aud butchers. The assets consisted of land and hook debts. The debtor was ex. (-.mined by Mr Bunny (agent for Assignee) in reference to certain assets. He stated that the deeds of sections at Foxton and Greytown, were held by Mr Geo. Stevens at Greytown, who obtained them to secure £6O with £6 interest. As far as he knew the title deeds of 312 acres at the Huttwerein his (debtors) name. The laud was purchased from Mr Xravers. He had seen the deeds but not the land.
