A measure to provide for the compulsory dehorning of cattle and bills providing for the registration of tomato growers and poultry keepers will be introduced in Parliament this session. A certain amount of opposition is likely to each of the measures, but particularly in the case of the. dehorning of cattle. In this case the principle opposition is expected to come from station owners, who hold that working costs will be increased. Registered; stud stock will be exempted from the operations of the bill.
