The Governor-General has sent the following message to Princess Mary on the occasion of her marriage:—
"On behalf of the Government and people of New Zealand, with whom I associate myself, I beg to tender Your Royal Highness on this auspicious day, with deep respect, sincere and heartfelt good wishes for your future happiness."
