FREEHOLDING A TOWN.
THE NEW VALUATIONS.

The Government valuations in connection with the freeholding of Taumarunui borough are being received by lessees. Sites on the main street opposite the railway station are assessed at £6O a foot of unimproved value. If fifty per cent of the lessees agree to purchase the Government will proceed.
