A very enjoyable evening was spent on Friday last at the Presbyterian Church, when the members of the Band of Hope gave a concert in aid of the funds for the Sunday School. There was a large attendance, and the items rendered by the children were appreciated. The following was
the programme—Anthem" 'Neath* 1 the Banner," School Childrejf; Address of welcome, Leslie Day ; recitation, "Little Jim" Mrs Askew solo, "Nobody's DarlingjfLove Kean ; recitation, "Bettvjfand.tlie Bear " (by request), Cicafy Montefiore ; solo, Miss Good's; address, Rev. Olphert; recitation, "A very nice Boy," Beatrhfe Montefiore; solo, " Driven fnffm Home," Violet McFlin; ifecitation, "The Stolen Custajq," May Keenan; solo, "Theyßmblem," Miss M. Ashley; jtecitation, " A Cat's Bath," Victor Bedford; duet, and Gcoder; antheifi, "Be a Loyal Soldier," TlWChildren. The Rev. J. 01pbert recited " A Drunkard's Jn-eam," in splendid style.
