KAWA DRAINAGE BOARD.

A meeting of the Kawa Drainage Board was held on Saturday last at the office of the secretary (Mr T. Oliphant). Present: Messrs Mills (chairman), G. Kay, J. B. Teasdale, D. M. Ross. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. COMPENSATION CASE. Mr G. Kay moved that all accounts with reference to the expenses in connection with eel weir case he collected and forwarded to the Kawa Land and Flax Company.—Soconded by MiRoss and carried.

Mr Teasdale moved that a letter be sent to the Kawa Land and Flax Company acquainting

them with the result of the case, and that the Board would let them know full amount of expenses when all the accounts had been presented. —Seconded by Mr Kay and carried. ACCOUNTS. The following accounts were passed for payment: —E. A. Cox £6 5s 3d, M. Milicich £ll9 Bs, WAIPA POST £3 10s, audit office 13s 4d, Waikato Times I2s, New Zealand Government £l6 16s sd, David Pretty £6O.
