The official opening of the golfing season in Te Awamutu bv the local club took place on Wednesday at the club's new links on Mr A. S. Wallace's property. Ideal weather prevailed,: V' and there was a good attendance of members. The new course is a good ©ne, and when the neces- V: sary improvements are effected it is anticipated that the game will »' become very popular in Te Ava- -" mutu. Several enjoyable games, especially the mixed foursomes, were indulged in. The ladies provided afternoon tea. prospects of the club's enjoyment of a successful season are brighf7L-_
