LAWN TENNIS CLUB.
A committee meeting of the above club was held in the Cosmopolitan Club room on Tuesday evening, the following members being present: —Messrs Cox, Cruickshank, Parker, North, and Gabriel. The chair was taken by Mr E. A. Cox. Minutes.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. New Members. The following new members were .elected : —Mesdames Geo. Hall, G. Amor, Misses Northcroft, D. Thomas, I. Mcintosh, Messrs A. C. Norden, and A. C. Edwards. Hose. It was resolved that enquiries be made to find out if any hose is available for the club's use, and if not, to purchase 35ft and a spray. ; Trophies. ' A letter was received from Mr F. D. Wood stating that he was donating a trophy for competition by the j*mior lady members. It was resolved that the secretary be instructed to write and thank Mr Wood for same. Weed-killer. The secretary annonnced the successful applicatiou of North's weed exterminator, and it was resolved that it be used on all four courts. Matches. It was resolved that arrangements be made for matches with the following clubs :—Cambridge, Hamilton, Te Kuiti, Paterangi, and Pirongia. Accounts. The following accounts were passed for payment :-rKendrick 16s 6d, Gifford £3 2s 3d, A. C. Cruickshank £4O. Use of Room.
As Mr Le SueUr would not ac" cept any remuneration for the use of his club room it was resolved that 2s be placed in the box for school'children's .prize fund at every meeting of the committee.
