TE AWAMUTU BOWLING CLUB.

A w;ll-attended meeting of the committee of the above club was held in Luks' Hotel (Commercial Room) on Wednesday evening. The proportion of the rental for the telephone to be paid by the Tennis Club was fixed.

Arrangements were made for the holding of a pairs match to compete for two pairs of bowls presented by Rev. Woollass and Messrs Strahan and Co, It was decided that nominations be invited without delay.

It was decided to erect an iron fence as a breakwind between the croquet and bowling greens. Several matters of importance to the club were dealt with at length and the season promises to be a most successful one.
