DISTRICT NEWS.
KAKEPUKU.
(Own Correspondent)

The school was built to accommodate fifty pupils, but judging by the way the numbers have been increasing, it will certainly need enlarging in the near future. On the afternoon of the opening clay the mothers treated the children to a surprise party. Tea and cakes were handed round, and needless to say were greatly appreciated, especially by the darker race.
