WAIPA JOCKEY CLUB.

A meeting of the above club was held in the Commercial Hotel on Wednesday evening, Mr H. Weal presiding. Mr L. Bayly was appointed handicapper for the trotting events, Mr F. Quin being appointed to handicap for the galloping events. . Arrangements for advertising the meeting were fully considered.

It was decided that nominations close on August 2nd, weights to appear on the gth, and acceptances close on the 16th.

Donations of £5 5s were received each from Mr J. Jackson and H. A. Luks. The meeting expressed appreciation of the loyal support the club received from these gentlemen, and more particularly of the keen interest displayed in the forthcoming picnic meeting.

The secretary was authorised to arrange with Mr S. Mathews for the supply of hurdles.

Further details were considered for the meeting to be held on August 2lst.
