HAMILTON COOKERY CLASSES.
The failure on the part of our local school girls to attend the Hamilton cookery classes has evidently caused the Director of Technical Educatton in Auckland to threaten action. The foliowletter explains itself : Schoolmaster, Te Awamutu. — Dear Sir,—J am directed to draw your attention to the fact that the girls from your school do not appear to be regularly attending the cookery classes at Hamilton. Will you kindly point out to the parents that attendance at these classes is compulsory, and that pupils not attending will be dealt with by the Truant officer ? Further, as you are aware, the work done at the Manual Training School is taken into consideration by the Inspector in the issue of Certificates of Proficiency at the end of the year. Kindly forward to me, at your earliest convenience, a list of the pupils who are not attending the classes at Hamilton regularly. Yours faithfully, G. GEORGE, Director - of Technical Education and Manual Training.
