TENNIS.

A meeting of the committee of the Te Awamutu Lawn Tennis Club was held last evening. Messrs Empson and Cox were appointed delegates to attend the meeting to consider holding a carnival at Easter, and also to wait on the Bowling Club in connection with the water supply and use of Pavilion. Eleven new members were elected Mr and Mrs Galbraith were elected Honorary Life members of the Club as a mark of esteem and appreciation of, many valuable services rendered. The question of the erection of a new Pavilion was discussed and Mr Cruickshank undertook to prepare- plans and estimated cost of a suitable building to enable the committee to further consider the matter.
