TAYLOR-CARRINGTON COMPANY.

The Town Hall was last night on the occasion of the visit of the above company to Te Awamutu. Local playgoers who had formerly witnessed the productions of this popular company had no hesitation in relying upon their already good reputation to look forward to a most enjoyable evening's entertainment and the announcement of their intended visit appearing in former issues of the Post was welcomed by all with the result that the Town Hall was packed. Two very clever comedies were staged "A Husdand's Night Out" and "A Lucky Irishman". The former was received with much applause. Miss Carrington as Mrs Woods showed to perfection the somewhat quaint characteristics of a .suspecting wife while Mr Charlie Taylor in his representations of a wayfaring husband . had the audience in roars of laughter; As a Lucky Irishman Mr Taylor was equally successful and his ready wit soon found for him a warm welcome. As Mrs Fitzgibbons a widdowed and wealthy lady much appreciated by the Lucky Irishman Miss Carrington was in her right place while Mrs Archer in the role of a Milly—a girl in her teens was quiet and charming. Mr Meade as Young Ben net, a college boy and Mr Archer his suspecting father carried out their part to perfection. A number of the latest chorus songs were sung during the evening and added considerably to the excellence of the entertainment. An announcement of appreciation by the management for the attendance of so many residents was received with much applause.
