Palmer jumped out to Lawson and hit hit him to the fence, bringing 30 up, and McGirr was put on in place of Lawson. Nieholls then had a easy chance of stumping Jones, which ho lust through not taking the ball. In the next over appealed fur the catch, which was on the wicket, but did not displace the bails. A few singles, and 50 was up. Jones then Lit Dryden over the lunch tent for 4. At lunch when score was 55 for no wickets, Jones 30, Palmer 25. 3 p.m. Tho score at 3 o’clock was 90, for no wickets. Palmer missed twice in long field, and Jones once.
