AMBULANCE WORK
ST. JOHN ASSOCIATION
BRIGADE ACTIVITIES May, June and July are among some of the busiest months of the year for the members of the St. John Ambulance Brigade, according to the superintendent, Mr P. T. Glanville, who kindly supplied us /f with some interesting facts about * the Brigade and its work, During the 14 days prior to last week, for example, nine cases were transported to the Waikato Hospital. In reply to a question, Superintendent Glanville said that he had no trouble about having drivers available day or night. He had a splendid team of men in the Brigade but there is still room for more recruits. Those already serving found the work very interesting. Four sporting fields, Victoria Square, Leamington School, Cambridge High School and Matangi were attended each Saturday. The value of an efficiently working St. John Ambulance brigade in a community such as ours cannot be easily reckoned. And sp we say, keep up the good work, St. John’s.
