Paterson snr., of Pukeroro, was added to the list of district residents who had, of late, brought large ' eggs to this office, when he brought from his pocket a Black Orpington pullet’s egg which weighed exactly 4 ozs., this weight being equal to that flf the heaviest egg yet brought to ik. It was more normal in length th« " it was in circumference. Yes, Mr Paterson, did, very kindly, leave the egg with us, but eggs are eggs and we cannot be blamed for keeping it too long—a double yolk, no doubt, and two eggs for breakfast?
