TUDOR THEATRE
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY
DOUBLE-FEATURE PROGRAMME
To-night will see the final screening of “Sherlock Holmes and The Secret Weapon.” Linda Darnell and John Shepperd in “The Loves of Edgar Allan Poe” and Russell Hayden in “Saddles and Sagebrush” will be shown on Thursday and Friday. The little known private life of America’s most colourful literary genius is the exciting subject of “The Loves Of Edgar Allan Poe.” Surpassing his own startling stories, the realistic film brings to the screen all of the drama that was Poe’s life. A great picture, superbly acted. Hard riding two-fisted Russell Hayden plays the lead in “Saddles And Sagebrush” and the tuneful ballads of Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys are a feature of the film.
Bing Crosby and Bop Hope in “Road To Morocco’ ’ and Frank Albertson and June Lang in “City Of Silent Men” will be coming to the Tudor on Saturday and Monday.
Special feature box' plan opening soon for the coming big feature “First of the Few.” Watch the Independent.
