SPECIAL FEATURES

Foremost among the show’s attractions is the fact that dairy entries, totalling 1183, comprise the biggest display of the kind in the world. This section, epitomising the wealth of the district, establishes the contention that the Waikato stands second to none in dairying activities. The second great attraction will be the bacon exhibit, which will be the largest ever staged in any part of the world.
A further innovation will be the special agricultural classes for boys by which 59 - boys from several parts of the North Island will receive the opportunity for systematic observation and study,, under the direction of competent instructors, of the great agricultural and educational exhibits at the show. Ibis division of the association’s activities has never previously been attempted in any part of the Dominion and should have distinct benefitial results in the agricultural life of the district.
Attraction No. 4 will be the health and fitness exhibit which has already aroused a considerable amount of interest. Over 2000 booklets and charts have been received from many parts of the world for inclusion in the exhibit, which will occupy an area of about 01,000 square feet. A /large marquee, measuring 80ft by 40ft, will be used for the display, features of which will be the use of the exhibition boards, each measuring 10ft by 4ft, and a similar number of tables, each of which will measure 10ft by 2ft.
Of special interest will be the display, for the first time in. New Zealand, of all the prize-winning exhibits from the rural classes of one of America’s country fairs, which w r ill provide a comparison with New Zealand entries. The sixth feature, which should be of great interest to children, will be the section devoted to rural schools.
