SUNDAY SERVICES LARGE CONGREGATIONS Congregations were particularly large at the Cambridge Churches on Sunday when the weather was line. A country, service was held at Roto-o-rangi in the afternoon. - ; Methodist Church At St.-. Paul’s Methodist Church there was a- large congregation at the morning service; the- evening attendance, however, was not Up to average. The resident minister, the Ilev. Ja'tnes Richards, conducted both service, preaching in the morning on "The Lure of the Ideal;” from Col. 3, .1: "Aiin at what is above’’; and at night on "Neutrality,” from .Joshua’s words "Clioose ye this day whom ve ' shall serve.” Country services were" held as follows: Leamington 7.30 pan., Mr 0. Johnson; Kaipaki 7.30 p.m., Mr Ron. Easter; Fen court 7.30 p.m., Mr W. It. Beer, and Maungatautari 2 p.m., Rev. J. Richards. Baptist Church Pastor H. C. Smyth was the preacher at both services conducted in the Cambridge Baptist Church. In the morning his subject was ."The Beatitudes— No. 1: The Poor in Spirit. M The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper was celty brated at the close of the service. At evening worship the subject was, "Tf Faith Saves, How Can 1 Obtain it?”
