FORTHCOMING ELECTION MR M. WELLS’ CANDIDATURE Voting for the election of three representatives pf the dairy companies to the New Zealand Dairy Board under the Agriculture (Emergency Powers) Act is now- in progress and voting papers must be in Wellington by next Tuesday, March 12. Keen interest is being taken in the Northern ward where five candidates have been nominated, including MV Meryvn Wells, of Cambridge. Mr Wells is at present engaged in a campaign, and within the last few weeks has addressed meetings in all parts of the ward, which extends from the North down as far as Wairoa, Oh a kune and Waitaru. Mr Wells has received much support throughout the Province and the general opinion points to the issue being decided between Mr A. .T. Murdoch and Mr Wells. The candidates are: Ernest George Appletou, Turiwiri, Northern Wairoa; Samuel- Andrew Ferguson, Motumaoho, Morrinsvillo: William Grounds, Hokianga: Alfred .Tames Murdoch, Whan-, garei: Thomas Mcrvvn Wells, Cambridge.
