FRANKTON VALUES. SHEEP PRICES IMPROVE. An average yarding of ox beef came forward at the weekly Frankton stock sale on Tuesday, and met with a fairly good demand, the offering selling readily at values up to late quotations. Competition was keen for good quality cow beef, and a slight increase in prices was recorded. Stores were also in better demand. Fat sheep came forward in numbers barely large enough to cope with the demand, and values showed an appreciable improvement. Quotations generally for another heavy entry of fat pigs were slightly easier. The auctioneers quote: The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency.
