NEW ZEALAND’S DEFENCE SYSTEM.
History has shown that an epidemic exacts greater toll than armed hostilities. There arc millions of germs, wouklrbo invaders of the human system that must be kept in check. New Zealand’s first line of defence against colds and ’flu and all throat and ehcsl nfflioations is Baxter’s Lung Preserver which has proved its worth as a precaution and a remedy for over sixty years.
At the first sign of a cold, take "Baxter's.” 1/6, 2/6 and 4/6, at all chemists and stores.
The annual report and balance-sheet or the New Zealand Expeditionary Force Canteen Regimental Funds Trust Board shows the total funds on February 1, 1932, at £202,660, of which £198,635 is invested. During the year £11,485 was distributed through the R.S. Association for the relief of unemployed returned men, and this relief is continuing in grants of £IOOO a month.
