MINOR HEAT WAVE

THE WAIKATO AFFECTED. TEMPERATURES IN CAMBRIDGE During the w r oek something in the nature of a minor heat wave has been centred over the Waikato, the warmest day in Cambridge being yesterday. Temperatures in Cambridge up till yesterday were: Friday, 76.0 degrees; Saturday, 78.3; Sunday, 73.0; Monday, 75.0; Tuesday, 78.3; Wednesday, 79.3. In Hamilton Sunday was the hottest day, with the mercury going up to 82 degress in the shade. Tho highest temperature recorded in Hamilton in November for the past ten years, w r as registered on Saturday last, when the glass read over 80 degrees inside a residence in Claud elands, Tho average temperature in the shade in Auckland during the last few days has been about 75 degrees.
