arawa lodge. FORTNIGHTLY meeting. On Monday evening last N.G. Bro. J. M. Rennie presided over an attendance of 21 brethren. Grand Lodge representative B.G. Bro. H. R.Neas was present, accompanied by P.G. Bro. Reidv, front the Star of Waikato Lodge,.Hamilton. During the discussion of lodge business two new candidates were duly proposed for membership. As this brought, the' waiting list up to half a dozen it was decided to hold an initiation at tho next lodge night, April 10th. Bro. Noas then gave a brief account of the happenings and decisions arrived.. at by the Grand Lodge at tho session recently held in Christchurch. At the conclusion of the business the brethren partook of supper and a short programme was provided by the following brethren: Bongs, Bros. J. M. Rennie and Woolley; stories, Bros, Nous and Hampshire. Bro. Reidv also gave interesting account of his visit to the Star of Gisborne Lodge, one of the first and foremost in the Order. Community singing brought to a close another pleasant evening spent in Oddfellowship. LOYAL DUKE OF CAMBRIDGE LODGE. The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Duke of Cambridge Lodge (M.U.) was held in the lodge-room on Tuesday evening when N.G. Bro. A. L. Dahlberg presided over an attendance of seventeen brethren and five sisters. After ordinary business had been dealt with, candidates, Misses A. Tripp and M. Attwood, were initiated.. Tlio delegates, Bros. Dahiberg and Congor, who attended the recent conference at Auckland, gave a lengthy report on the proceedings. It was mentioned'by • the secretary that an invitation. |iad been received from the Paeroa Lodge to play an in-ter-lodge football match cither at Pacroa or Cambridge at an early date. It was unanimously agreed to accept the invitation.

Following lodge business the lodge orchestra, a recent institution, gave several items which wore greatly appreciated by all present. The N.G., during tho social hour, expressed pleasure at the interest displayed' by the brethren and sisters in the social gatherings held at the conclusion of the business of the meetings.
