CAMBRIDGE CIRCUIT. QUARTERLY MEETING. Rev. AA r . J. Elliott presided over the quarterly meeting of officials of the local Methodist circuit, fifteen being present. The business transacted was mostly of , a routine nature. 'The' balance sheet (incomplete) showed a small debit, on tho- quarter ’s working. - 1 •: - : '. It was-resolved that Fencourt and Leamington Sunday Schools’ anniversaries bo'held during, the quarter; also that one Sunday’s collections be devoted to missions. The secretary was requested to write Mr G. A-inall, who recently left the district, thanking him for.his services as missionary Secretary and in other branches of church work. Mr 1!. AV'either was deputed to make arrangements for a suitable tangible recognition of Mr Vinall’s work. Mr AV. Tripp was elected to the position of: secretary of missions for the circuit. Mr M. Butler spoke of Rev. Elliott’s departure from the circuit, and moved that fitting recognition of Ids ministry be placed on ..record.—Carried unanimousJ y.
It was resolved to hold a congregational meeting next week, when Mr M. Butler will make a report 011 the recent conference proceedings, and several matters of importance to the circuit will be fullv discussed.
