WAIKATO PRESBYTERY.
MEETING AT TE ABOHA. The Waikato Presbytery met on Monday last in To Aroha for the purpose of conducting the triennial Visitation, and for other business. Rev. J. T. Burrows was appointed Presbyterian Chaplain to the Waikato Hospital and the “Old Men’s Home,” and a committee was set up, with Dr. Douglas, of Hamilton, as Convener and treasurer, for the purpose of obtaining, contributions from the various districts from which patients come to the hospital. Another matter of importance that was discussed was the formation of a new Presbytery in the Bay of Plenty. The various congregations coming under the proposed bounds are to be consulted. It was decided to alter the bounds of the Waikato E. home mission station so as to include Tamahere and Newstead. « ' In the afternoon, members of Presbytery, together with members of the Methodist quarterly meeting, sitting at the same time, were invited to a luncheon and civic reception to Rev. R. B. S. Hammond, the Prohibition lecturer.
