It is pleasing to see that tho Supplementary Estimates have been adorned with a vote of £2OO for that troublesome and dangerous piece of road near tho Crow’s Nest. It behoves our settlers to see that the grant is properly spent before Government retrenchment commences.

The Messrs Hay Bros, have started work with their new milking-machine. They are deserving of tho greatest success for their courage and enterprise. Needless to say, the plant will become an object of interest to the settlers of the district.

The humid weather of the past few weeks has produced a luxuriant growth of pasture, although it has retarded farming operations—(Own Correspondent).
