WAIKATO FANCY FAIR.

The above was formally opened last night in a tent at the corner of Knox Street, Hamilton, by Mr Greenslade. The tent was beautifully lighted, and the appearance of the stalls was very pretty, and reflected great credit upon the ladies to whose lot fell the arranging of the exhibits. These were ;—No. 1: Mrs Delaney and Misses Clarkin, Bourko and Stapleton ; No. 2 : Misses Jones, Casey, and Taylor. The refreshment stall was under the management of tho Misses Cusson, Clarkin, Chitty (2), and Mrs Sidet. The young ladies were most energetic in selling tickets for the various lotteries, and appeared to meet with a fair amount of success. The children of the Convent School gave dances during the evening, and deservedly received hearty applause from tho audience. The Fair will be open to-day and to-morrow.
