NEWFOUNDLAND.
FISHING TREATIES WITH FRANCE.
(BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT). (Received July 1, 9.45 a.m.). St. Johns, June 30. Sir Jas. Winter, Premier of Newfoundland, has requested the British Government to abolish the fishing treaties with France. He asserts that the French have abandoned Newfoundland and to maintain their pretended rights was mere caprice.
