PROSPECTOR MISSING.

WIDE SEARCH IN TAKAKA DISTRICT. NO TRACE SINCE APRIL 27. NELSON, May 18. No trace has been seen since April 27 of a gold prospector, Allan Cameron, employed at tie Evans River Camp, twenty-six miles out from Takaka. Cameron left the camp to proceed along a well-defined track to pick up supplies at the Forks Camp, and has not been seen since. The country has been combed by searchers. The missing man is 37 years of age and is a native of Scotland. He is a widower with six children, and was living with his mother at Day’s Bay, Wellington.— (P.A.)
