WAIRARAPA'CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Good progress-was made with the Wairarapa Table Tennis Association’s championship'tournaihe'nt, which was opened last night in; the Y.-M.C.A. Gymnasium and the Catholic Club’s Rooms. In the A grade contest the semi-finalists are:—Men’s singles, H. B. Massey v. M. Winslide, N. Myers v. H. Myers. Ladies’ singles, Miss M. McGovern v. Mrs. Winslade, Miss E. Masters v. Miss L. Phelps. Men’s doubles, Rex Riley and F. Jolly v. F. Bodie and A. Fisher, H. B. Massey and R. Clark beat R. Fuller and A. Webster, 21/18, 21/5. Indies’ doubles, Misses O’Donnell, and P. Hessell v. Misses Roberts and L. Phelps, Mrs. Winslade and Miss E. Masters v. Mrs. Harvey and Miss F. Masters. Combined doubles, semi-finals not reached. In the B grade the semi-flnalists are: — Men’s singles, W. Greig v.- L. Gleeson, iT. Potangaroa v. B. Bishop. Ladies’ singles, Miss E. Greig v. another, Miss L. Roberts v. Miss N. Morris. Finalists are: Men’s doubles, W. Greig and I. Morris v. T. Potangaroa and A. Sanson. Ladies’ doubles, Misses N. Potangaroa and M. Remine v. Misses L. Roberts and .F. Bliss. Combined doubles, Miss E. Greig and W. Greig v. Miss M. Potangaroa and T. Potangaroft. The tgurnament will be concluded an Saturday night.
