More than 50 persons are reported to have been killed in an earthquake on Tuesday over a huge area in Narino Province, Western Colombia. The number of injured has not been estimated. (The Department of Narino lies in the Cordillera Occidental range near the coast of Colombia, south-east of Panama.)
