PAHIATUA SALE

DALGETY & CO., LTD. Messrs Dalgety & Co., Ltd., report: --We had a good entry of sheep at the Pahiatua sale yesterday. Sheep came forward in very good order, and were submitted to a fair attendance of buyers. Fat sheep were in keen demand, but lambs were not so keenly sought after. A good clearance was effected however, at the following range of prices:—A/c Jas. Breeds, w.f. woolly wether lambs, 10/10, 12/10; "w.f. woolly ewe lambs, 12/-, 15/3; 2-tooth ewes, 20/6; a/c M. J. Delehanty, 5-year ewes, 13/7; a/c Poulton Bros., w.f woolly wether lambs, 12/-; a/e Denis Buckley, b.f. lambs, 12/-, 14/6, 14/8; a/c E. Gregory, fat ewes, 16/-; fat lambs,. 19/7; a/c R. Parker, w.f. woolly wethef"lambs, 10/7; 4 and 5-year ewes, 11/6; a/c J. D. Murphy, w.f. woolly wether lambs, 13/10; a/c D. J. O’Brien, w.f. woolly ewe lambs, 13/2; a/c R. Competition was keen throughout the sale, a clearance being effected as follows: —Fat and forward b.f. lambs, 19/6 to 16/6; forward b.f. rape lambs, 15/6; small do., 10/- to 12/1; w.f. woolly wether lambs, 15/- to 13/3; shorn do (small), 10/5; shorn ewe lambs (small), 12/-; f.m. ewes, 11/9.
