There was a splendid attendance of buyers and a clearance was effected at the following prices:—A/e J. J. Sorensen, 2-tooth wethers,. 20/-; a/c G'. F. Gichard, 5-year ewes, 10/6, 13/-; b.f. lambs, 16/-; a/c A. McDonald, shorn w.f. wether lambs, 12/6; b.f. lambs, 15/-; a/e G. McKay, shorn w.f. wether lambs, 11/1; b.f..lambs, 16/6; a/c W. K. Lang, 5-year ewes, 10/10, 11/10; 2tooth wethers, 14/-; a/e H. Gowler, 5year ewes, 12/8; a/c Fraser Bros., b.f. lambs, 10/3, 16/4. LOAN & MERCANTILE CO. The New Zealand Loan & Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on the Pongaroa sale as follows:—We submitted an entry of over 3000 sheep of all classes to a large attendance of buyers. Competition was keen throughout the sale, a total clearance being effected at the following prices:—s-year ewes, 17/- to 20/-; 4-year ewes, 20/2 to 21/2; 2-tooth ewes, 24/6 to 24/9; small 2-tooth ewes, 19/-; m.a. ewes, 21/9; f.m. ewes, 11/- to 14/-; 2-tooth wethers, 17/9 to 21/4; w.f. wether lambs (woolly), 14/3 to 15/-; shorn do., 11/6 to 14/3; shorn ewe lambs, 12/2 to 17/-; cull lambs, 7/6 to 9/6; b.f. lambs, 14/3 to 15/6; medium do., 12/9; s.d. rams, 3} guineas; 2-shear Romney rams, 5i guineas; f.m. do., 1 guinea to li guineas.
