The opinion, that the council was not getting the service it should from the dragline at Te Ore Ore was expressed by Councillor G. Moore at yesterday’s meeting of the Masterton County Council. He thought that something effective might be done at an expenditure of about £2OO. It was explained that the trouble was a shortage of metal within the present scope of the plant; Councillor Moore moved, that a committee consisting of Councillor J. W.. A, Falloon, the engineers and himself be set up to go thoroughly into the matter and report to the next meeting. Councillor Fal•loon seconded the motion, stating that as far as a supply of metal was concerned they were not getting a proper service from the dragline. The motion was carried, Councillor H. H. Mawley observing that the report might point the way to improvements in the service.
