MASTERTON SHOW.
ATTRACTION AT SOLWAY NEXT WEEK. EXCELLENT ENTRIES RECEIVED Judging by the number of entries, the horse and pony events should be a particularly strong feature of the Masterton A. and P. Association's Aunual Show, to be held at the Solway Showgrounds next Tuesday and Wednesday. Entries in these events represent a decided increase over last years’ figures, and competition, promises' to be exceptionally keen and interest-' ing. The Show has an established reputation for the standard of its sheep entries, which to date this year show an increase of 70 as compared with last yeaer. Cattle and pig entries show increases of 16 and 20 respectively while competitions are at least 80 up on last year. The biggest increase so far is shown in the home industries classes, which are about 200 ahead of lalsh years total. Keen interest is being taken in the kennel classes, and the entries show an increase of 13. Horses are over 30 up and altogether th* Show bids fair to provide a wonderful display of stock and other exhibits. Intending exhibitors are reminded that entries for the fruit and vegetables, which are not catalogued, close with Mr - b - h - -
