A mass meeting of forty thousand persons under the auspices of Zionist organisations in America met at Madison Square Garden in. celebration of the thirteenth anniversary of the Balfour Declaration and. protest against what the chairman, Professor Frankfurter, called a White Paper which was “less a statement of His Majesty’s Government’s policy than a revelation of Lord Passfield’s deeplyrooted prejudices.” (Another message, reporting a proposal by Mr. Winston Churchill that issues relating to Palestine should be referred to the League of Nations appears on page 6.)
