FINAL RETURNS.
NEW SOUTH WALES STATE ELECTION. LABOUR WINS FIFY-FIVE SEATS. A MAJORITY OF TWENTY. (Received Monday, 8.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, November 3. The final state of parties is:— Labour, 55; Nationalist, 23; Country Party, 12. Labour won the Murray seat by a narrow margin, and also gained the Yass, Ashburnham and Dubbo seats, the minister of Agriculture being defeated in the last-named constituency. NEW MINISTRY. ALLOCATION OF PORTFOLIOS. (Received This Day, 0.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, November 3. The portfolios in the new Ministry have been allotted as follow:—Mr. Lang, Premier and, Treasurer; Mr. Baddeley, Minos, Labour, Industry; Mr. Davidson, Works and Railways; Mr. Davies, Education; Mr. Dunn, Agriculture and Forests; Mr. W. T. Ely, assist-ant-Labour and Industry; Mr. Gosling, Chief Secretary; Mr. J. McGirr, Health; Mr. Tully, Lands; Mr. Lamaro, Justiee; Mr. MeKell, Local Government; Mr. Lysaght, Attorney-General; Mr. Willis, Vice-President of the Executive Council; Mr. J. Concardon, honorary Minister in the Legislative Council; Mr. F. Burke, Speaker of the Assembly; Mr. Connell, Chairman of Committees.
