WILD SCENES.

DISORDER AT STADIUM. REFEREE STUNNED. ■SYDNEY, August 5. There were unprecedented scenes at the Stadium when the wrestlers, Ted Thye and Billy Edwards, fought madly after th© referee, Tom Banner, had been kicked unconscious. Finally recovering somewhat the referee crawled alongside the maitmen and crowned Thye winner. He then left the ring. Actually it was Thye’s foot that caused the trouble. While pandemonium reigned, Thye also left the ring, and Edwards, in tears, appealed to the crowd. Scenes of the wildest disorder followed until after ten minutes Thye returned and the match continued with another wrestler, Tom Lurich, as referee. The contest eventually ended in a draw on a fall each. When either man offended Ltsrich applied vicious holds or smacks.
