MOTION OF NO-CONFIDENCE IN GOVERNMENT. PASSED BY MEETING OF WAFD. SIDKY PASHA’S POSITION. (Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m.) CAIRO, July 20. In defiance of King Faud’s refusal to convene a special session the Wafd after midnight held a meeting of the so-called Parliament in the Saadist Club and passed a motion of no-confidence in the Government. Nahas Pasha subsequently declared that the non-co-operation movement would commence immediately, with non-pay-ment of taxes.

Sidky Pasha, in an exclusive interview with the “Daily Express," said; “I am master of the situation and intend to remain so. The Wafd has become a definitely revolutionary party and has forced a conflict with tho King. I have made every preparation for the worst and will deal ruthlessly with all attempts to disturb established order. ” A FLAMING ARTICLE. CALL ON CANADA FOR TROOPS. (Received Sunday, 11.13 p.m.) MONTREAL, July 27. “La Presse,” the French-Canadian newspaper which enjoys the largest circulation in Canada, either in the English or French language, publishes a flaming article saying that there is a grave situation in Egypt and that Britain had determined to call on Canada for troops. The article caused a. tremendous sensation in the Dominion, coming almost on the eve of the election. It urges French Catholic voters to return Mr. King, who will protect the sons of French Canada from becoming cannon fodder for Britain’s foreign wars.
