LICENSING COMMITTEE.
QUARTERLY MEETING HELD
YESTERDAY.
The Wairarapa Licensing Committee held its quarterly meeting at Carterton yesterday, there being present: Messrs. J. Miller, B.M. (chairman), T. H. Hughes, J. Saunders, H. T. Rees and F. W. Smith
The chairman, in reviewing the police reports, stated that generally speaking the conduct of the hotels in the district was good, but there were one or two instances where there had been convictions for breaches of the licensing laws. An application for the transfer of the license of the Gladstone Hotel from W. R. Entwhistle to H. G. King was granted.
