(“Th© Age” Special.) The Carterton Miniature Rifle Club team to Are a match against Greytown, »t Greytown, on *H>nrsday evening will be:—W. Press, J. B. Bairstow, F. Byan, H. Harris, A. Downes, Misses E. and O. Cook, H. L. Denby, P. J. Watkins, J. Blstehford and R. Taucher. The competition for Mr. J. B. Lawrence's trophy was won by W. Press, with a score of 200, and Miss M. Workman with a score of 198, who divided the prize.
Euchre Tourney. The euchre tournament under the anspiees of St. Mary’s Church, Carterton, on Tuesday evening was well attended. The prize winners were: Ladies, Mrs. Stringer 1, Mrs. A. Knutson 2; men, Mr. W. fStzgerald 1, Mr. J. Boake 2. The prises were donated by Mr. Gorman. The aggregate prize for last month in the ladies' section was won by Mrs. J. Catt, with Mrs. Walker second. The men’s aggregate was won by Mr. T. B. Challis, with Mr. F. W. Jackson second. Mr. O'Connell was the winner of one guessing competition, and Mrs. M. Nieolaon the other.
