SOUTH WAIRARAPA ITEMS.

(“The Age” Special.) The stewards of the Carterton Racing Club met on Friday evening, Mr W. Howard,Booth presiding. One resignation was accepted and one held; over. An offer to supply a totalizator was referred to the committee appointed' to confer with the South Wairarapa Trotting Club in reference to the suggestion that a machine be purchased for the use of the two clubs. Messrs. P. Bain, E. J. Matson, J. C. Harp, A. C. Feast and P. A, Cole .were appointed a Course Committee. Mr. C. O’Connor being unable to carry out the duties of starter at the club’s meeting on October 6, Mr. J. G. Vincent, of Palmerston. North, is to be asked to- accept the position. Notice of motion was given to rescind the regulation dealing with the removal of undesirable persons from racecourses in order to adopt, the' new regulation passed recently by the Racing and Trotting conferences.
