GIRL GUIDES.
MEETING OF WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION. DEDICATION OF COLOURS. A meeting of the committee of the Wairarapa Girl Guides Association was held yesterday afternoon, Mrs T. Jordan (District Commissioner) presiding over a good attendance. The dedication of the colours of Masterton troops of Girl Guides will take place during a service at St Matthew’s Church on Sunday morning next. The colours ikjlude a Union Jack, kindly presented by Mrs J. MaoRae, company colours, presented by Mrs L. B. Maunsell to the Ist Masterton (St. Matthew’s) Company, and a Union Jack, presented by Mr R. O. Smith to the 3rd Masterton (St. Matthew’s Collegiate School) Company. The resignation of Mrs F. Brockett was received with regret, and the secretary was instructed to write to Mrs Brockett, conveying the association’s thanks for her past services. The treasurer reported a credit balance of £9 14s sd. The annual meeting was fixed for the second Monday in August.
