MOTHER AND SON TEA.
Y.M.C.A. FUNCTION. ANNUAL GATHERING TO-NIGHT. The annual Mother, and Son Tea, held under the auspices of the Y.M.CA. will take place this evening in the association’s rooms. Tho function is always a bright and happy affair, and this year’s tea promises to be no exception to the rule. The Y.M.C.A. seeks to strengthen the attachment that every true-hearted boy has for his mother, and io encourage its expression in practical helpfulness and high ideals. It is with this aim in view that the mother and son teas are organised by the Ladies’ Auxiliary. An invitation is extended to all mothers to attend with their sons. The Mayoress (Mrs T. Jordan) will take the chair. The reception will take place at 5.30 p.m. and the itea will commence a quarter of an hour later. An attractive programme of musical items has been arranged. Words of welcome will be spoken by Mr G. W. Moriee, president of the Y.M.C.A., and an address given by the Bev. J. Cocker.
