PRINCESS BETTY.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS. LONDON, April 21 The utmost simplicity chacterised Princess Betty’s first birthday. She awoke to find herself surrounded by scores of toys, with which she played delightedly. Tn the afternoon, together with Princess Alary’s sons, she was taken for a drive in an open carriage in Windsor Park. A big crowd awaited the departure of the carriage from the Castle and when, the carriage emerged loud cheers were given for the Princess. A quiet family party in the Royal nursery, with no special celebrations, followed the drive. — (A. and N.Z)
