The market for sheep showed a good increase on late sales report, the recent good rain experienced. generally no doubt was the reason for the better tone in the market. We. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows on their Carterton sale: We offered a good yarding of sheep and a large entry of pigs to a good attendance and we report a total clearance at the following prices: Good woolly w.f. lambs, 16/6; do b.f lambs .16/7, 15/6; medium b.f. lambs, 13/6, 12/7; empty ewes, 8/, 5/; weaner pigs, 5/, 6/, 7/6, 9/, 10/; porkers, 15/, 25/, 18/. The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-oper-ative Distributing Co. Ltd., report: Wo held our weekly sale yesterday, when we offered sheep and pigs to a good attendance. The whole yarding was sold under the hammer at’the following prices: Good w.f. woolly lambs, 16/; medium do, 12/9; 2-th wethers, YO/1; 1-shear S.D. rams, 3Z- gns.; store pigs, 21/6 to 30/.

FURRED SKIN SALE. WELLINGTON, April 22.. The New Zealand Loan and Alercautile Agency Co, report: A large catalogue of rabbit skins was offered at our weekly sale to-day before a full bench of Dunedin and local buyers. was keen. Prices ruled firm a-c late southern rates and in some cases showed a slight increase. Incomings realised the excellent price of 84|d. The next sale is' on Thursday, May 19.
