FEEDING SALE.
IMPROVED MARKET. FEILDING, April 22 A medium entry of about 4000 sheep was offered at the Feilding stock sale to-day to a large attendance of buyers. Bidding was brisk and the tone of the sale brighter than of late, practically the whole of the offering being quitted at advanced prices. Some lines of ewes were offered, and some lines of lambs were of exceptional quality. A good sale resulted for anything showing quality at a decided advance on late rates. Extra good woolly ewe lambs sold at 25/, wether lambs, 12/3 to 15/10, woolly do, 16/5, ewe lambs, 18/, woolly do, 25/, m.s lambs, 11/9 to 14/; fat woolly lambs, 18/; f. and f. withers, 20/3 to 22/4; two-tooth wethers, 19/4, zn.a. ewes, r.w S.D. rams 12/9, 16/3 to 26/6; fat ewes, 16/3 to 26/6, fat ewes, 13/9 to 18/4, fat wethers, 23/2, 2-th ewes, r.w. S.D. rams, 27/2, four-year ewes, 16/6. A medium yarding of cattle resulted in a fair sale. Pat cattle mot with poor demand, and store cattle sold at late rates. Fat Hereford cows, £6 12/, good fat cows, £5 to £5 5/6, weaners 2.7/ to £2 12/, f. and f. empty cows, £3 15/, poor condition 18-mos S.H. steers, £3 12/, do two-year, £4 9/, fa/ conditioned S.H. steers, £5 12, i fat steers, £4 10/ ito £5 7/. —(P.A)
